Founded by Robert Kraft, the Blue Square Alliance Against Hate’s inaugural benefit raised the largest single-night total in its history, capping a historic month in the movement to stand up to hate
New York City, NY – On Wednesday, October 21, the Blue Square Alliance Against Hate’s inaugural benefit raised more than $32 million to support initiatives to stand up to Jewish hate and hate of all kinds. The sold-out event, held at the Waldorf Astoria, brought together influential leaders, changemakers, and community partners, all united by a shared belief: that hate has no place in our society.
The landmark evening — the $32 million raised is a record for the largest single-night fundraising total in Blue Square Alliance’s history — capped off a historic month for the organization. Just days earlier, Blue Square’s Stand Up Sunday initiative, led in partnership with the Appeal of Conscience Foundation, brought together more than 2 million Americans of faith across the country — Catholic, Greek Orthodox, Armenian, Hindu, Methodist, Presbyterian, evangelical, and non-denominational congregations alike — in a historic, nationwide day of solidarity against antisemitism and all forms of religious hate.
The benefit was not only a fundraising success, but a powerful celebration of progress and a call to action toward a future that upholds dignity and respect for every individual. The Blue Square Alliance Against Hate and Founder Robert Kraft honored Bank of America Chair and CEO Brian Moynihan for his enduring support and commitment to Blue Square Alliance’s mission.
Political analyst and media personality Van Jones welcomed an audience of more than 800 attendees. Former Secretary of State and Blue Square Alliance Advisory Board member Condoleezza Rice delivered a video message touching on her own experience with hate and the importance of education, particularly with young people, to build empathy and stop the spread of hate.
National Women’s Soccer League Commissioner Jessica Berman, Jon Bon Jovi, Tom Brady, and Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Archbishop Emeritus of New York, also addressed attendees. The evening closed with a performance by singer David Draiman, who performed a cover of The Sound of Silence.
Guests included Ken Langone, Tony Ressler, Michael Rubin, Roger Goodell, Gary Bettman, Brian Roberts, Van Jones, Steve Schwarzman, David Tepper, James Tisch, Bill Ford, Paul Tudor Jones II, David Zaslav, John Fish, Andy Gordon, alongside many other leaders from business, media, sports, and entertainment.
Founded by Robert Kraft in 2019, the Blue Square Alliance Against Hate (formerly the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism) works to stand up to Jewish hate and hate of all kinds by inspiring Americans to become active allies. Through empathy-building mass media and social content, strategic partnerships, coalition-building, and data-driven insights, Blue Square reaches tens of millions of Americans who are not yet engaged in the movement against hate and gives them accessible ways to understand the issue, see their role and take action.
The record-breaking total raised at the Benefit will directly fuel Blue Square Alliance’s continued growth — including the expansion of its Command Center technology and analytics, its national media and advertising campaigns, and programs like Stand Up Sunday and the Unity Dinner series, which together have reached millions of Americans across the country this year alone.

About the Blue Square Alliance Against Hate
The Blue Square Alliance Against Hate, formerly known as the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism (FCAS), was founded by Robert Kraft in 2019 to stand up to Jewish hate and all hate by inspiring Americans to become active allies in the fight. The Blue Square Alliance looks to reach the nearly 50% Americans who are unengaged in the fight against hate and inspire them to stand up to it. In 2023, the Blue Square #🟦was established as the universal symbol of unity in combating hate, allowing all allies to wear and share their support.
