Rabbi Rachel Timoner and Reverend Robert Waterman

All God’s Children,” a documentary by Ondi Timoner, follows a five-year partnership between Rabbi Rachel Timoner’s Congregation Beth Elohim and Reverend Robert Waterman’s Antioch Baptist Church in Brooklyn. Together, they worked to combat racism and antisemitism through open discussions, cultural exchange, and joint advocacy. Initially united to tackle deed theft in Crown Heights, their efforts led to a 2023 law criminalizing the practice.

The documentary offers a blueprint for bridging social divides and fostering unity. Reverend Waterman emphasized this: “My prayer is that this becomes a model in other communities: how to practice tolerance.” Its story serves as a foundation for an impact campaign that could inspire meaningful change beyond Brooklyn. Daryl Davis

Not many people are willing to sit down with members of the Ku Klux Klan. Daryl Davis, musician, activist, and author, has met with dozens of them over the years, helping them to abandon their hateful beliefs and inspire others to join them.

FCAS recently interviewed Daryl to hear his amazing story and learn more about his groundbreaking work deradicalizing members of the KKK. His work is propelled by a question he’s been asking since he was 10 years old: “Why do you hate me when you know nothing about me?” He believes eradicating hate begins with education: “[If] you fix the ignorance, there’s nothing to fear. If there’s nothing to fear, there’s nothing to hate. If there’s nothing to hate, there’s nothing or no one to destroy.”

Daryl is proof that one person can make a real difference. Watch part one of our interview.
